Pounders Roundup 2015

The annual Pounders Roundup went off recently and it was good times as usual! We were originally expecting a macking tropical storm swell with clean conditions and while those elements didn't quite materialize, it was still classic Pounders with lots of ramps and barrels to be had.

I was fortunate to be allowed to be in the water to shoot the competitors for most of the day and it was a blast! I was pretty amazed at the way super young groms are pushing their limits these days. What's most impressive about the Roundup, however, is the vibe - it's grassroots, it's friendly, it's family and everyone exudes and a feels it all day long during the event. Much mahalo's to all the event organizers who make it possible!
